How many persons may I bring along?
As of 2015 The Salty Confusion made its debut. This vessel is a Florida State Registered and Federally Licensed fishing charter vessel for up to 6 passengers. This is in compliance with the Coast Guard Regulations and is a great way to fish.  Unlike some other charter vessels this is a private charter boat and we do not mix and match groups.

For larger groups we have other boats that work with us and we can provide for any sized group/event.

Do I need a fishing license?
No…All passengers on our boat are covered by our charter permits.. All of our captains are licensed and permitted to fish the waters we fish in.

Please see the DNR Websites for additional Licensing Info…

Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission website              http://myfwc.com/license/

NOAA Federal Fisheries website        http://sero.nmfs.noaa.gov/recreational_fishing/index.html

May I bring Beer on the boat?
Yes Beer & Wine etc. is allowed however ONLY NON-BREAKABLE containers (No Bottles) because of the possibility of breakage on the boat. This is provided you are old enough to bring them along. Absolutely no illegal substances of any kind are allowed on the boat.

How long a drive is it to the Marina?
Madeira Beach is approximately 30 Minutes from the Tampa International airport and 15 minutes from St. Petersburg Florida.  The boat is docked only 10 minutes from Johns Pass and the Gulf of Mexico.

Do I need to bring my fishing equipment along?
No, all fishing equipment including Rods, Reels & Terminal Tackle are provided at no extra cost on board the boat. We carry only the finest equipment available & are well stocked.  If you prefer you can also bring a rod of your own.  Please limit it to 1 per person.  Please call me to discuss this if you wish to bring more.

Is there an age limit allowed on the boat?
My best advice is that children under 5 years old may not enjoy the trip & might make it difficult for others also. Children under 10yrs should be accompanied by an adult one on one to get the most out of the trip. Life jackets are on board for adults & children.

Is food & drink provided?
Yes bottled water is provided.  You must bring anything else you wish to have in a medium sized cooler. I suggest food that is already prepared such as finger foods or sandwiches & snacks.

Can the fish be cleaned at the boat?
Fish cleaning is available on the boat.

How far do we go offshore?
We venture far offshore most of the time.  Full day trips can be 2-3 hours offshore at times (20-40 Miles).  We go where we need to go with the time we have to work with.  All other questions can be answered by calling me or sending me an e-mail call2fish@confusioncharters.com
